Academician Alajdin Abazi, Rector of SEE University:2009 – A Successful Year
30 December 2009 In the year that we are leaving behind, the University will be closing with approximately 7000 students attending lectures in the first cycle of studies and nearly 4000 graduates, and over 1200 students who are actively following second cycle studies (47 of which have already earned the scientific rank—Master). Currently, the University offers 16 first cycle academic study programmes and 33 second cycle academic study programmes in five faculties: Law, Business Administration, Public Administration and Political Sciences, Contemporary Sciences and Technologies, and Languages, Cultures and Communication. -

Ilir Snopce successfully defended his PhD dissertation at the State University of New York at Binghampton
10 December 2009On Friday, December 4-th, Ilir Snopce successfully defended his PhD dissertation in the department of Mathematical Sciences at the State University of New York at Binghamton. The title of his dissertation is "Lie Methods in Pro-p Groups" and he defended it in front of the Committee consisted from: Dr. Marcin Mazur (adviser), State University of New York at Binghamton, Dr. Fernando Guzman, State University of New York at Binghamton, Dr. Adrian Vasiu, State University of New York at Binghamton and Dr. Martin Kassabov, Cornell University.

Certificates from the Leadership and Youth Work in the Community Program awarded
1 December 2009On Wednesday, 15th November 2009, at the Faculty of Public Administration and Political Science (FPAPS), South East European University, certificates from the one year programme Leadership and Youth Work In Community Program (Level A/first semester - 30 ECTS and level B/second semester - 30 ECTS), were awarded. These were implemented at SEEU in cooperation with the Institute for Education and Communication of the Joncheping University (HLK), Sweden and the Centre for Non-formal Education “Triagolnik”, Macedonia.

Prof. Dr. Asllan Bilalli, Prof. Dr. Etem Aziri, Prof Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti and Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika are four new full professors in SEEU who got the green light from the University Board after appointment by the University Senate on 19th of August 2009. -
University marked 28 November - the Albanian Flag Day
30 November 2009Today (26 November), with a solemn academy, at the University was marked 28 November – Albanian flag day.
Rector Academician Alajdin Abazi, professors Vebi Bexheti and Fejzula Shabani spoke about the importance of the National Albanian Flag Day. -

Visit of the German Embassy in SEEU
25 November 2009Frank Stössel, the first secretary, and Sonja Bohnet, the leader of the press sector at German Embassy in Skopje, had a working meeting with German Department on November 3, 2009 where they met with the Head of the German Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Gezim Xhaferi. The embassy representatives also met with Prof. Dr. Robert Schmitt-Brandt, a German professor at the German Department, sent by Johann Gottfried Herder foundation. The activities of the German Department were one of the main aims of this working meeting.

SEEU Marks the 8th Anniversary of Establishment
18 November 2009On November 20, 2009, South East European University Tetovo will celebrate its 8th anniversary. For this special event, a celebration program is planned where the achievements of the University for this period will be presented, and the SEE University Doctoral Graduates will be promoted. A SEEU Team in Official Visit to the Book Fair Tirana 2009
