SEEU Merit Based Scholarships (MBS)

SEEU, through the Merit-based Scholarship Program (MBS), provides financial support for new students who will enroll in the academic year 2026/2027 in the first cycle of studies.

Eligible to apply are all candidates who:

  • meet the admission requirements for enrollment at SEEU, according to the Call for Enrollment in the first cycle of studies (academic year 2026/2027);
  • enroll as full-time undergraduate (first cycle) students in one of the study programs (three- or four-year programs) in the academic year 2026/2027;
  • have achieved excellent success during secondary education (grade point average 4.50 – 5.00);
  • are citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The merit-based scholarship (MBS) is awarded at the beginning of studies at SEEU, based on the success achieved during secondary education (GPA 4.50 – 5.00), and is continuous – it is renewed every academic year – for the entire period of undergraduate studies (3 or 4 years), as long as the student meets the academic requirements (high grade point average during studies).

The right to apply also includes transfer students from other higher education institutions who enroll in the second year of undergraduate studies.

The scholarship amount for the first year of studies is determined depending on the average grade achieved in secondary education. When calculating the overall average grade, the yearly average grade for each year (Year I, II, III and IV) is taken into account, excluding the grades from the state matriculation exam.

Candidates who completed secondary education in other countries must have their grades equated according to the grading system of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Scholarship amount by category:
→ Group A = 60% of the annual tuition fee [grade average 5.00]
→ Group B = 40% of the annual tuition fee [grade  average 4.50 – 4.99]
