Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission offers paid scientific traineeships for research trainees.
For the traineeships starting in March 2026, the JRC will host around fifty (50) scientific trainees across various thematic areas relevant to its mission.
Thematic areas include:
agriculture and food security, health, industry and space, energy, natural resources, mobility, creativity and inclusive society, civil security for society, environment and climate change, nuclear safety and security, crisis management, population dynamics and migration, digital transformation and data, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, as well as innovation and growth.

The traineeship locations may be in one of the following JRC sites:
Geel (Belgium), Ispra (Italy), Karlsruhe (Germany), Petten (Netherlands), or Seville (Spain).
Researchers from North Macedonia who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for this open call for a paid traineeship.
