Deputy Foreign Minister of Albania, Edit Harxhi participated in the tribune, “Perspectives of Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Western Balkans” organized at SEEU
17 June 2010“The Perspectives of Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Western Balkans” was the topic of the tribune organized at SEEU, in which the Deputy Foreign Minister of Albania, Edit Harxhi delivered a lecture. Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, the Rector elect of SEEU opened the tribune in which occasion this was his first speech as the newly appointed Rector of SEEU. He added that the issue of Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Western Balkans countries needs to tackle educational institutions as well, because in this way the institutions enhance the process towards European Union integration.

South European University won a regional research project funded by RRPP
15 June 2010On May 2010, South East European University and University of Fribourg (Regional Research Promotional Programme – RRPP) signed an Agreement concerning the research grant for the purpose of realizing the project “Brain Drain and the Role of Diaspora in Promoting Reforms in the Balkans” managed by Abdulmenaf Sejdini.

The book “Specifikat e biznesit të vogël” was promoted at SEEU
15 June 2010 The book Specifikat e biznesit të vogël (Specifics of Small Business) was promoted on 31st May 2010, at the SEEU-Faculty of Business Administration. This book is result of common work of Doc. Dr. Veland Ramdanit and a group of students of the Faculty of Business Administration and represents a symbiosis of theory from the field of small business and empirical data. More than 120 small businesses were interviewed for this issue from different towns in the Republic of Macedonia such as: Skopje, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Debar, Kiçevo and Struga. -
SEEU and SUT Sign Memorandum for Cooperation

SEEU Faculty of Law expand the European horizons
1 June 2010Students of the SEEU Faculty of Law under the leadership of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ismail Zejneli, Pro-dean Doc. 17 May 2010“International Law and Human Rights” is the title of the essay written by Elena Andreevska, which is published as part of the book International Law: The Young Actors, New Concepts - The Continuing Dilemma, of the author Božidar Bakotić. The book is published on the occasion of the retirement of Professor Božidar Bakotić from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law, after a long and impressive career, which he began in 1961.

Candidates for Rector of SEEU presented their programmes in the last Senate meeting
12 May 2010The four candidates for Rector of the South East European University presented their programmes in front of the Senate members in a solemn atmosphere.




The current Rector of SEEU, Academician Alajdin Abazi, in this occasion said it is important for the new decade of the University to listen to new ideas and visions by the candidates. “All that is presented before us today should be in the interest of the successful journey of this unique institution of higher education in Macedonia and the region," pointed out Rector Abazi.

Veli Kreci Publishes a Paper in the Scientific Journal Routledge Taylor
6 May 2010Public Administration and Political Science Faculty, Veli Kreci (co author) publishes a paper titled The Impact of Territorial Re-Organizational Policy Interventions in the Republic of Macedonia in the Local Government Studies journal by the Routledge Taylor and Francis Group, which is highly ranked in the ISI Social Science Citation Index http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/03003930.asp and articles appearing in this journal are abstracted and indexed in International Political Science Abstracts, British Humanities Index and other prestigious social science indexes.

"Regional Integration of the Visegrad Countries as an Example for the Western Balkan Countries for further EU Integration" was the topic of the lecture delivered at SEEU (on 28 April 2010) by the four Ambassadors of member countries of the Visegrad Group in the Republic of Macedonia: HE, Mr. Ferenc Kekesi- Republic of Hungary, HE Mr. Karl Bachura-Republic of Poland, HE Mr. Jozef Braun-Czech Republic, and Dr. Robert Kirnag –Slovak Republic.
