  • SEEU students visited the U.S. Embassy

    9 December 2009

    On December 2, students who take the course Introduction to American Studies from the English Language Department at the South East European University led by their professors Aida Koci, Brikena Xhaferi and Hajrulla Hajrullai visited the U.S. Embassy for a short presentation and a tour.

  • Florim Ajdini, MA participated at the international conference ' Kongres Kombëtar, Shkollë Kombëtare, held in Elbasan, Republic of Albania.

    The conference was held on the honor of the centenary jubilee of the opening of the first High School in Albania and in the region. As an institution of a western European vocation, it was the  torch towards the enlightenment of the path for the Albanians to trace the route to the civilized European nations and civilization.

  • Certificates from the Leadership and Youth Work in the Community Program awarded

    On Wednesday, 15th November 2009, at the Faculty of Public Administration and Political Science (FPAPS), South East European University, certificates from the one year programme Leadership and Youth Work In Community Program (Level A/first semester - 30 ECTS and level B/second semester - 30 ECTS), were awarded. These were implemented at SEEU in cooperation with the Institute for Education and  Communication of the Joncheping University (HLK), Sweden and the Centre for Non-formal Education   “Triagolnik”, Macedonia.

  • SEEU gains four new full professors

    Prof. Dr. Asllan Bilalli, Prof. Dr. Etem Aziri, Prof Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti and Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika  are four new full professors in SEEU who got the green light from the University Board after appointment by the University Senate on 19th of August 2009.

  • University marked 28 November - the Albanian Flag Day

    Today (26 November), with a solemn academy, at the University was marked 28 November – Albanian flag day.  

    Rector Academician Alajdin Abazi, professors Vebi Bexheti and Fejzula Shabani spoke about the importance of the National Albanian Flag Day.

  • Visit of the German Embassy in SEEU

    Frank Stössel, the first secretary, and  Sonja Bohnet, the leader of the press sector at German Embassy in Skopje, had a working meeting with German Department on November 3, 2009 where they met with the Head of the German Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Gezim Xhaferi.  The embassy representatives also met with Prof. Dr. Robert Schmitt-Brandt, a German professor at the German Department, sent by Johann Gottfried Herder foundation. The activities of the German Department were one of the main aims of this working meeting.

  • SEEU Marks the 8th Anniversary of Establishment

    On November 20, 2009, South East European University Tetovo will celebrate its 8th anniversary.  For this special event, a celebration program is planned where the achievements of the University for this period will be presented, and the SEE University Doctoral Graduates will be promoted. The SEEU Students’ Union will give its contribution.

  • A SEEU Team in Official Visit to the Book Fair Tirana 2009

    From November 12-14, South East European University representatives, Vebi Bexheti, Alajdin Demiri and Ali Pajaziti, visited the Book Fair Tirana 2009. The aim of the visit was to enrich the SEEU Library with needed titles from different fields. The broad offer of the fair enabled the SEEU team to choose from a wide selection of books. New additions to the library include:

  • Lejla Abazi-Bexheti achieves her PHD

                On Wednesday, November 19th 2009, at South East European University, Lejla Abazi-Bexheti, Assistant at the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies, defended her doctoral dissertation in front of the commission consisting of: Prof Dr Aksenti Gërnarov, Prof Dr Zamir Dika (mentor), Doc Dr. Bekim Fetaji, Prof Dr Vladimir Radevski and Doc Dr Arbana Kadriu. The dissertation was entitled: A Reflective Investigation for in-house Development of a Learning Management System Using the Modular Approach.      

  • Besa Arifi participated at the international conference for universities autonomy in Istanbul

    On October 23 and 24 2009, in “Istanbul Bilgi University” the international conference "Academic Freedom & University Autonomy in the Balkan, Black Sea & Caspian Regions: Measures & Strategies" took place. It was organized by the Network for Education and Academic Rights – NEAR (London), Scholars at Risk – SAR (New York) and the Research Centre of Human Rights by the Law Faculty of Istanbul Bilgi University.

  • Jonuz Abdullai and Kujtim Ramadani Participated in the Conference “European Integration of Western Balkans” in Tirana

    The Second International Conference on European Studies,  “Political, Economic and Social Challenges of Balkan Countries in the Process of European Integration”, was held in Tirana (Albania), on 6th and 7th November 2009, organized by Epoka University and Istanbul University.

  • Pandemic Response Team formed at SEEU

    11 November 2009

    The Rector of South East European University (SEEU), in Tetovo, Academician Alajdin Abazi brought has established a Pandemic Response Team at the University that will follow the epidemiological state of the flu type A (H1N1) within the University. The commission will be leaded by Darko Spirovski, Director of the Facility’s Departments.

  • Brikena Xhaferi participated at the international conference for the Asian EFL Journal

    Assistant Professor Doctor Brikena Xhaferi from the Faculty of Language, Cultures and Communications-English Department participated in the Asian EFL Conference, in Izmir Turkey. This International conference was organized by the Asian EFL Journal and Dokuz Eylül University on October 14-15-16-17 2009.

  • Specific Research for the Issues Treated

    Jeta Hani and Kadishe Limani, students in Master studies in Finance at SEEU’s Faculty of Business Administration, participated at the Second International Conference on European Studies held in Tirana  “Political, Economic and Social Challenges of the Balkan Countries in the Process of European Integration” on 6 and 7 November 2009.  On the first day of the conference they successfully presented their research, “Does Macedonia have to abandon its fixed exchange rate of Denar or to devaluate it?”

  • The SEEU Indoor Football Team strengthens the first position in the state championship

    SEE University’s football team continues with victories in the first league championship. In the fourth round of the championship they earned a victory against the team Gemixhii from Veles with a final score of 4:2.
