Macedonia’s National Essay Contest Award Ceremony

The award ceremony of Macedonia’s National Essay Contest that is organized third year in a row in partnership among SEEU Language Center, the National Association of English Teachers (ELTAM) and Peace Corps Macedonia was held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the US Embassy in Skopje. Besa Bytyqi, the SEEU Language Center representative, presented the gifts to the winners. This year, 139 students in three categories from private and state schools in Macedonia wrote essays on the topic: “What is the influence and importance of social media on our lives today?” The US Ambassador, his Excellency, Mr. Jess Baily, who was hosting this ceremony, expressed his satisfaction with the contest and his gratitude to South East European University for their support and work in promoting the English language teaching in the country and supporting events of this kind.
