  • University library enriched with books from the ecological and health field

    Library at South East European University " Max van der Shtul"  is enriched with several new titles from different books and handbooks donated by the Institute of Public Health of R. Macedonia. Head of the University Library, prof. Alajdin Demiri says that these books are mainly from the ecological and health field. 

    Books will be used for the Institute for Environment and health at the University and for all students that are studying at the study program Environmental management” said prof. Alajdin Demiri. 

  • Rector Alajdin Abazi Promotes SEEU in Japan

    South East European University (SEEU) and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) have agreed to cooperate. The Rector Alajdin Abazi and the Pro-Rector, Murtezan Ismaili of SEEU traveled to Tokyo, Japan, where they are realizing meetings with their colleagues on this topic. 

  • SEEU Web Page is ranked the second by popularity in Macedonia

    The Web Page of South East European University Tetovo is ranked the second by popularity among the Universities’ web pages in Macedonia. According to this ranking the web page of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” is ranked first, with University of Bitola in third place, the State University of Tetova fourth and the University of Shtip fifth.

  • Dr. Dennis Farrington represented SEEU at the EUA Autumn Conference

    Dr. Dennis Farrington, President of the Board, pictured with the Rector of the University of Montengro,Professor dr Predrag Miranovic, represented SEEU, and was the only representative of R Macedonia at the EUA Autumn Conference 8-10 October in Giessen, Germany, attended by 400 Rectors and other officials from Europe and other parts of the world. The topic of the Conference was 'Internationalisation': considerable discussion took place on the use of languages in promoting international links and mobility, within the European Higher Education Area and beyond.

  • The work of Ndre Mjeda was promoted in a documentary film at SEEU.

    On Tuesday, 06.10.2009, the Department of Albanian Language and Literature in the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication at South East European University promoted the documentary film, “Andrra e jetes"(Life dream), which is based on the poem with same title by the famous Albanian writer, Ndre Mjeda.
    The opening and greeting speeches were given by the Dean of Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication, Prof. Dr. Vebi Bexheti. He spoke about the importance of this documentary film, which illuminates the creative and national opus of Ndre Mjeda.

  • Rector Abazi Attends the Award Ceremony in New York Honoring Former President Ahtisarri.

    On Friday, 25th of September in New York, the National Albanian American Council (NAAC) awarded two honorable guests – first, the mediator that had a main role in finalizing the process for independence of Kosovo, the former Finish President and Nobel prize Laureate H.E. Martti Ahtisaari, and second, the renown photographer Fadil Berisha who artistically introduced the world to Albanian culture and values.

  • SEEU and the Secretariat for Implementation of Ohrid Framework signed memorandum of cooperation

    The South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo and the Secretariat for Implementation of the Ohrid Framework (SIOF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for recommending the best students for employment in the state administration.

    The memorandum was signed by the Vice Prime-Minster of Government of RM, Abdilaqim Ademi and the Rector of SEEU, academician Alajdin Abazi. This memorandum will facilitate the process of employment for the top 15 graduated students from this institution of higher education.

  • Teaching started after the orientation week

    After the orientation week that started on 15  of September, teaching at SEE University began on 22nd of September.  For a number of years, the new academic year at SEE University has started on 15th of September in accordance to the Bologna process.

  • State University of New York awards the title for excellence in research to Ilir Snopçe

    The State University of New York at Binghamton awards the title for excellence in research to Ilir Snopçe, lecturer at South East European University-Tetovo. Ilir Snopce had already distinguished himself with his publication in Archiv der Mathematik.  At this time, he has two articles under refereed consideration with Journal of Group Theory and the Journal of Algebra.

  • SEE University Alpine Club conquers Mt. Ararat

    Memet Mehmeti and Artan Luma, members of the SEE University-Alpine Club and the Alpine Federation of Republic of Macedonia, participated in a climbing expedition in Turkey, from the 26th of August to the 3rd of September 2009. Despite bad weather conditions, they successfully reached the summit of the Turkish mountain, Ararat (altitude 5137 m).

    Dr Dennis Farrington, President of the University Board, representing SEEU, Republic of Macedonia, was Track Chair for the topic 'Where does the power of governance reside' at the 31st Annual Forum of the EAIR (European Association for Institutional Research: www.eair.nl ) held at the University of Vilnius, Lithuania, (celebrating its 430th anniversary) from 23 to 26 August 2009.

  • Important information regarding the results of application for enrollment at SEEU

    South East European University in the short period will announce results regarding the applications for registration in the academic year 2009-2010. Namely, on 3rd of September 2009 preliminary results of the admitted candidates will be announced and on 5th of September 2009 final results of the applicants will be announced. In meantime, the students’ enrollment (first semester registration of admitted students) could be realized on 7-11 September 2009.Information regarding English language placement testing (level of English language will be tested) that will be held on 9th of September 2009, at 11:00 o’clock will be announced on 7th of September 2009 together with the information of lists and classrooms.

  • South East European University in Tetovo started cooperation with Tokyo University, Department of computer sciences

    The Faculty of Contemporary Science and Technology at SEEU  and the Tokyo University of Technology, Faculty of Engineering, department of Computer Sciences, are expected to start concrete cooperation in all areas, said the Dean of the Faculty of Contemporary Scence and Technology. Assistant Professor,  Bekim Fetaji, has already being engaged as a Guest Lecturer at this Japanese University.

  • SEEU Team 7th in the European Championship in Futsal

    This year's 6th European Championship in Futsal took place in Podgorica, Montenegro from 20 - 26 July with 16 University teams from 15 European countries participating. One of these was the SEEU futsal team, who managed to reach the 1/8 finals, finally taking 7th place. Players scored an average of 7 goals per match and received an average of 2 cards per game. There was only one red card which meant that the real winner of the tournament was the idea of 'fair play'.

  • Doctoral dissertation proof for the scientific-research work at SEEU

    South East European University once more proves that it is a leader in the region on creating specialized staff in different science fields. During May, June and July, beside a numerous defences of master thesis, several doctoral dissertations were defended as well.  The conducted researches and dissertations were followed with a great interest not only by broaden public opinion, but as well by the national and local media in Macedonia.

  • The Masters thesis a crown of MA research studies at SEEU

    At SEEU, during June and July several public defences of master thesis and doctoral dissertations were organized.  Several topics have raised a great interest among colleagues and wider public opinion. "The role of the financial management in the creation of the qualitative and competitive environment in SEEU”, was the topic of the master thesis work of the candidate Rashid Emini, while Flora Kadriu, defended the master thesis work titled: "Social aspects of secularization in RM".

  • Seminar “Current Trends in Computer Sciences”

    Тhe seminar entitled “Current Trends in Computer Sciences” was held оn Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd in the premises of Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies Faculty - South East European University in Tetovo, Macedonia. The seminar was organised by three partner Universities: South East European University (SEEU), Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies (CST) Faculty-Macedonia, Polytechnic University of Tirana (PUT), Faculty of Information Technology (IT)-Albania and University of Prishtina (UP), Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)-Kosovo.
