Students from Tetovo Gymnasium at SEEU presented their English topics

On Thursday (01.12.2011), local Tetovo high school "Kiril Pejqinovic" students presented their English topics to fellow high school students from all the other Tetovo High schools as well students from SEEU.

SEEU is proud to showcase the local English classes and their dedicated teachers and students as part of the faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communications initiative "Community Outreach and Awareness". English is regarded as a vital component to professional development and getting international as well as good local jobs. The students have worked hard with their teacher to create these excellent presentations to share with their contemporaries.

"SEEU is delighted to have this opportunity to work with our local high schools. Encouraging and motivating these high school students is part of our mission and we are happy to welcome them here." Said Assistant Provost Dr Rod Beaumont who helped organize the event.

Dr. Andrew Goodspeed, Dean of the faculty said " It is a great pleasure for us to welcome representatives of the secondary schools of this region, particularly as they have prepared presentations for us in the English language. We at the South East European University are committed to multilingual, multicultural education, and are at the forefront of such pedagogy in the Balkan region. It is, therefore, a tremendous honor for us to welcome young people who share our belief in the value of linguistic and cultural understanding, and who are similarly determined to understand their own world through the media of language and culture."
