The First Cycle Study Programme in Finance, Banking and Accounting aims to equip students with solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of finance, banking, and accounting. The programme seeks to develop an understanding of economic and financial principles and their application in analyzing financial processes and accounting reporting within various organizations. In addition, the programme focuses on developing analytical and professional competencies for interpreting financial data, managing financial resources, evaluating the performance of financial institutions, and making informed decisions in dynamic economic environments.
The programme is designed to prepare students for the labour market in the financial and accounting sectors, as well as for further academic studies at advanced levels, with an emphasis on professional ethics, responsibility, and international standards in the field.
Graduates of this study programme have broad employment opportunities in the financial and business sectors. They can work in banks, insurance companies, accounting and auditing firms, as well as in private and public enterprises. Typical job positions include: financial analyst, accountant, banking officer, credit analyst, audit assistant, tax consultant, as well as roles in finance departments and management control. In addition, graduates may continue their academic studies at master’s and doctoral levels in finance, banking, accounting, or related economic disciplines. This programme enables students to develop professional skills, analytical thinking, and competencies required in both domestic and international labour markets.

Public Finance
Course objectives: 1. To analyze fiscal policies and their macroeconomic and microeconomic effects, as well as to compare them with fiscal practices in other countries. 2. To understand the role of taxation and public finance as fundamental instruments for economic development and social welfare. 3. To gain knowledge about public goods, externalities, income redistribution, and the tax system at both comparative and national levels. 4. To acquire practical knowledge about the budget and extra-budgetary funds, including preparation, implementation, and control procedures. 5. To develop a critical perspective on the functioning of fiscal systems and the long-term trends of fiscal policy in North Macedonia.

Capstone Project
The Capstone Project represents an independent form of academic and applied research through which the student demonstrates the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the studies. The thesis focuses on analyzing contemporary issues in the fields of Finance, Banking and Accounting, by using appropriate research methods and relevant scientific sources. Through the diploma thesis, students develop analytical, critical, and professional skills in identifying and solving real problems within the business and economic environment. Furthermore, the thesis contributes to preparing students for the labor market and for continuing their studies at higher academic cycles.
