  • CALL FOR PARTICIPATION AT “CATHEDRA ADENAUER 2015”  

    The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, the “Iustinianus Primus” Faculty of Law and the “Max van der Stoel” Institute at the South East European University, are announcing call for participation at the series of lectures with a working title: “Cathedra Adenauer 2015”.
    “Cathedra Adenauer” represents an international scientific and educational platform through which young students and scientists will attain broader understanding of all the significant aspects of the EU integration process. “Cathedra Adenauer” represents a collection of four (4) scientific conferences where the participants will be presented with the latest findings in this field, delivered by confirmed scientific and political authorities from the EU member states, as well as other countries from the region, receiving an appropriate international certificate at the end of the event. All students who have completed their sixth semester of studies have the right to apply to the “Cathedra Adenauer”, including Master’s students, as well as young scientists from all universities, whose focus of interest are the political, economic, legal, social, cultural and other aspects of the European integration process.   

    All interested candidates are expected to send an e-mail application in English, titled “Cathedra Adenauer 2015”, latest by 20th February 2015, with the following documents attached:

    - Curriculum Vitae and
    - Motivational Letter for participation not extending one page

    The application should be sent to the following email address: Skopje@kas.de and Cc: to the following email address: mvdsi@seeu.edu.mk.

    The official language of the “Cathedra Adenauer 2015” is English; therefore, all applicants are expected to have advanced use of English.  Incomplete and untimely applications will not be taken into consideration. All applicants are given equal chances to be selected and will be contacted by the organizers after the selection process is completed.

    “Contemporary Challenges of Multiculturalism and Language Policy” was the topic of an International Scientific Conference that was held on Friday and Saturday (16 and 17 May), where a considerable number of scholars and researchers from Macedonia and the region presented their works. The conference was organized by the Scientific Institute of the SEEU “Max van der Stoel”.

    Head of Delegation of the European Union in Macedonia Ambassador Aivo Orav, today delivered a lecture on the topic: “EU enlargement in ever-changing Europe” at a public event organized by the Scientific Institute of the SEEU “Max van der Stoel” in the framework of its program “Diplomatic Lectures Series”. Previously Ambassador Orav met with the Rector of the SEEU, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, with whom he discussed mutual cooperation

    On the 23rd of April the Scientific Institute Max van der Stoel and SEEU marked ‘Stoel Day,’ thus commemorating the anniversary of the death of the founder of this university, the Dutch diplomat Max van der Stoel.

    On 8 April 2014 the Ambassador of Germany in Macedonia Gudrun Steinacker presented a lecture on the Bilateral Diplomacy versus Multilateral Diplomacy Experiences in Macedonia organized by the Scientific Institute of the SEEU “Max van der Stoel” within the latest program of the Institute “Diplomatic Lectures Series”.
