HESP Scholarships

Aim of the programme

South East European University in cooperation with the OSF (Open Society Foundation) through the Higher Education Support Program, London, is offering financial aid to students, covering 80% of the tution annual fee. In addition, there will be granted living stipend to students from outside of Tetovo.

The purpose of this program is to support students who would not be able to study at SEEU without financial support. Scholarship awards are made following an analisys of the students' demonstration of financial need, and then following merit criteria such as high school performance.

Number and allocation of HESP scholarships

Through the HESP program, SEEU will allocate approximately 50 scholarships. HESP scholarships are awarded for a period of 3 (three) years. Conditions for continuation of scholarships are determined in the Award Letter at the beginning of each semester.

Students that are citizens of the Republic of Macedonia that will be enrolled in the full-time studies in the academic year 2015/16 are eligible for application for scholarship in the following Faculties:

  • Faculty for Public Administration and Political Sciences  - app. 25 scholarships
  • Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication - app. 25 scholarships

HESP scholarships covers:

  • partial payment of tuition fee - up to.1.000 Euros
  • partial payment of accommodation or transport - up to 600 Euros

The amount of scholarship depends on social and economic need of the student.

In order for a candidate to be qualified in this scholarship program s/he must get at least 60 out of 100 possible points from the above mentioned three components, while the ranking will be according to the financial need.  

Priority will be given to students with special needs!

Application documents

Interested Candidates should submit:

  • Completed application form for HESP scholarship
  • Required documentation (listed on the last page of the form) by which social and economic state of the student is certified.

Application deadline

 01.06.2015 - 11.09.2015

Submission of the application

The application form, including supporting documents listed on page 6 on the application form, can be submitted latest by 11 September 2015, Financial Aid Office (Tetovo), building 801, or to be sent by postal mail. 

If you are sending the application by mail, please sent it within the given deadline. Mail received after 11.09.2015 will not be taken into consideration! Only completed applications will be consider!
