The study program in Diplomacy has been designed to develop the conceptual understanding and comprehension of students about practices and procedures of modern diplomacy and to help them work efficiently in the diplomatic community. The program has been designed for diplomats, high representatives abroad, regional and international organization members as well as multinational corporations. This program is also dedicated to those who wish to develop their diplomatic career in the future or to work in different governmental and multi-corporative institutions. It is a combination of academic studies and professional trainings. The international communications sphere, international law and international trade are supplemented with academic disciplines that are studied. Professional aspects are explained by diplomats, politicians, and higher government officials who will lecture as visiting /external professors. The program consists of 120 ECTS and it is carried out through full-time studies lasting four semesters (each semester brings 30 credits).
Graduates will find careers in the ministries of Foreign Affairs in the government sector and in the field of international diplomacy, in business sector, legal sector, police, banks, journalism, consulting management, libraries and to be lecturers.
Knowledge and understanding
- Has a deep knowledge and competent understanding of theories in the field of diplomacy
- Has specific knowledge of the negotiations, mediation, and other ways to resolve conflicts.
- Has certain knowledge about the role of international organizations in diplomacy.
- Has a clear knowledge and understanding of foreign policy and its main actors (state and non-state) that make up the dynamic network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Applying knowledge and understanding
- Can be operated successfully in small diplomatic assignments, to work in diplomatic missions or in the departments of Foreign Affairs under different ministries as well as being a member of the international trade organizations and other institutions.
- Can work as a team member for the development of negotiating positions on international legal issues.
Interpret theoretical perspective in international relations in some cases.
- Describes the role of diplomacy in world politics.
Making judgement
- Rationalize the current diplomacy and processes at the international level.
- Evaluated articles of varying complexity for international topics.
- Ability to interpret relevant data on the reasoning that reflect relevant diplomatic issues.
- Can make critical thinking and provides critical views on the work of diplomatic organizations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions.
Communication skills
- Can draft letters within certain diplomatic communications.
- Can introduce and write scientific papers and to prepare research projects in the field of diplomacy.
- Can address the audience with shapes assigned to specific problems in international relations and diplomacy.
- Can develop and utilize diplomatic terminology diplomatic communication with representatives of diplomatic missions in Macedonia.

International Institutions
This subject covers theoretical issues regarding the international institutions of the universal and regional level, their historical development, the role, functions and responsibilities. Particular emphasis is placed on the question of their role in solving collective problems and issues in global politics. The focus is placed on their role in the area of peace and security, economic development, human rights, the democracy and the rule of law. The focus is on the main bodies within the institutions responsible for achieving the set goals.

Public Diplomacy
The course aims to present the differences between traditional diplomacy and public diplomacy, and the importance of public diplomacy in international relations. The course aims to determine the manner of public diplomacy impact and how it changes in development processes in the countries.

International Public Law
The module is designed in a way that students will become familiar with basic concepts of international public law, often identified with international law in general, which receives its bases in the seventeenth century, as the right of nations to witness the name of today's most important universal organization the United Nations. Students will become familiar with modern international public law which regulates the relations between states, between states and international organizations, relations of international organizations and the behavior of persons and legal persons for whom states and international organizations believe are important for the international community.

Diplomatic and Consular Law
The course provides an overview of the diplomatic and consular rights law, its historical development, practice cases concerning the application of these rules, the scope of diplomatic and consular agents who practice diplomacy, issues surrounding the implementation of the diplomatic and consular power in national systems. The course also analyze and study the parimles of the international law, their application and the application and impact of the same on interstate political relations, and the use of diplomatic relations in international conflicts. The course will concentrate on the formal conditions for the functioning of these two professions (diplomat and consul) based on diplomatic and consular law.

International Relations
The course is planned to serve the students to think about what is happening in the world, to teach students the theories and developments concerning international relations. This course introduces students to the theoretical component in international relations, key ideas and debates in international relations, particularly on basic concepts, actors in international relations, foreign policy and the power of international relations. The lectures will also be focused on international political economy and politics of global prosperity, present and future problems in the international system, including armed conflict, economy, demography and environment.

Research Methodology
This course is designed for students who are preparing a Master thesis. The main objectives of the course is for students to be offered tools for the construction of their thesis regarding the research question and creating methods for collecting data through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The subject is focused on problems of quantitative methods and techniques such as statistical analysis, texts related to the theory and testing hypothesis. In addition, of significance are topics of descriptive and causal inference, longitudinal, comparative and research case studies. Advanced information is offered for collecting data working with text. The aim is analyzing the data qualitatively, finally putting all theoretical and practical actions in the design and writing the thesis.

Globalization
- Students will have a deeper conceptual understanding of globalization as a phenomenon that flattened the world (Friedman). - Have a vision for themselves and society in conditions of globalization - Able to debate intelligently for globalization in various dimensions: economic, political, cultural and socio-spatial. - Able to identify the background of globalization and problematic reflections (ex. anti -globalization). Ready to compare different perspectives on globalization and its influences nationally, regionally and internationally. - Ability to develop a structured study of the "product" or (EPI) phenomenon of globalization.

Political Management
The aims of this course are: - To gain basic knowledge of the term policy and management - Be familiar with basic tools and activities in order to distinguish the political processes under different criteria. - To gain adequate knowledge for preparation of a survey and field working. - Application of knowledge gained from other objects and building a particular methodology for the preparation of essays-paper work. - To analyze the electoral process and the method of execution. - To prepare a political speech and to simulate the appearance of a political event. - Ability to actively participate in a debate organized by the Student Bashkim. - Ability to prepare and participate in research project, and presenting the results of scientific research. - To determine different ways and use scientific sources, to study and read selectively and comparatively to analyze political processes.

Semester 4

Master Thesis
After passing examinations, the student may begin the procedure of filing, making and public defense of thesis topic. The student chooses the mentor, who gives him instructions for preparation of the application of master theses. The application must be granted by the Graduate Studies Educational Collegium and the Scientific and Academic Council of the Faculty. After preparing the final version of Masters Thesis, Academic-Scientific Council of Faculty forms a three-member committee, which prepares the report, which is may be accepted or rejected. The positive report is approved by the Academic-Scientific Council and it is set the date of public defense.
