The Security Studies program aims to provide a range of modules that will form the basis of information and advanced knowledge in the field of security studies aimed at training students to basic professions related to this field by providing solid specific and systematic knowledge on institutes and concepts security systems and on their situation and prospects in the region and world.
The Law Faculty diploma is recognized by the Chamber of Lawyers and Notaries in RM. Exercise of legal professions requires formal registration in these rooms. Graduate of the Faculty of Law enables students to approach the relevant state bodies, especially in judicial branch as courts and public prosecutors. The Law Faculty has signed cooperation agreements with the Academy for training of judges and public prosecutors in the RM. Students who will have the ambition to deal with scientific research work, the Law Faculty of SEEU, enables the continuation of the studies-PhD studies. Students in this program, also professionally аrе trained for all occupations in the field of national and international security, with particular emphasis on the practice of professions within the organs of security system in the country.
Knowledge and understanding
- Has advanced theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of national security system and reproduces knowledge about goals and safety standards;
- Has knowledge and insights on specific measures and preventive and repressive actions of the security in the context of crisis management situations and the priorities in the field of security;
- Possesses a detailed knowledge of understanding and acceptance of basic principles of professional ethics in the field of security;
- Has a specific understanding on the technologies and methodologies of research in the field of security;
Applying knowledge and understanding
- Identifies and implements policies, procedures and safety rules in the field;
- Identifies and analyzes the most complex issues in the field of security, taking part actively in all phases of the implementation of policies, procedures and decisions in fyshën security and the establishment of safety standards in organizations and institutions in the field security;
- Interprets and discusses contemporary issues related to complex risks, challenges and threats to security;
- Formulates plans, reports and strategic documents in the field of crisis management situations and to use techniques and control mechanisms of safety standards;
- Applies knowledge gained through the research process of solving complex and practical issues of security;
Making judgement
- Makes decisions for solving the most complex cases through research to create practical policies, procedures and decisions in the security field;
- Evaluates and differentiates safety standards organizations and institutions in the security field;
- Has advanced critical thinking by applying the method of analysis and comparison;
Communication skills
- Utilizes proper terminology for complex and specific issues in the area of security system.
- Is involved in research based legal argumentation and debate.
- Utilizes the official languages of the University as well as more advanced computer skills in the research work.

- Develops a regulation of research to be used in their profession.

The acquisition of advanced knowledge on the object of study of Criminology and its main institutions, issues and contemporary trends and studying the influence of various factors in the commission of offenses, criminological examinations on the perpetrator and victim of crime and identification and criminological analysis of contemporary issues.

Transnational Crime and International Terrorism
The course examines in particular the basic notions of transancional crime and international terrorism and forms through which they manifest, mutual relations, and ways to deal with them in the international political scene, but also in terms of international law and domestic criminal law. Students will be actively involved in determining the specific instruments of political power that are used internationally for the treatment of crime and international terrorism.

Criminalistics at its core has substantive and procedural criminal legislation and regulations derived from them. Police Law
Police Law examines police administrative law dealing with domestic affairs. It is defined as a set of legal rules that define the organization, functions and organs of internal affairs, mutual relations and relations with other authorities, organizations, citizens and special procedures and working methods in the field of internal affairs, when performing administrative work that does not belong to any other branch of administration. Police Law studies: citizenship, the supervision and protection of state borders, general security affairs for the safety of persons and property, police work, public gatherings, travel documents, foreigners, police functions, principles of conducting powers police, police organization and functioning in the RM, organization and powers of the Ministry of Interior, private asylum and protection. In this case through a systematic approach and interdisciplinary study of advanced theoretical aspects and practical law enforcement police tactics and modern methods in the application of police powers to achieve efficient and effective function of police in modern society, and control over the police.

Master Thesis
This module enables students to transfer their skills and knowledge to research and make more complex task of Master-Thesis. The module is designed to be fully practical and students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to approach writing the thesis. The module has unique return result-to enable students to write the master thesis with minimal difficulties, and with maximum efficiency. The course aims to improve research techniques and style of writing paper, taking account to stop illegal means, such as plagiarism and infringement of copyright, which are prohibited by the Statute of SEEU.
