The MoU was signed by SEEU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika and Mr. Lazim Destani, Chairman of the Ecolog Advisory Board, during a signing ceremony at the SEEU premises, materializing a joint initiative between industry and higher education institutions, the first of its kind on such a scale in Macedonia.
The cooperation will be developed into an accredited Joint Institute for Project Management to provide academic and professional certification programs and specialized trainings in Project Management to meet specific industry needs, once again demonstrating the leadership of both Ecolog and SEEU in innovation and best practices.
A major reason of this cooperation, above all, rests on the good will of both parties to ensure implementation of the new trends in postgraduate education, said Rector Dika.
“It is equally important that the company Ecolog and the Destani family, despite the extension on international dimensions did not forget Tetovo, to continue cooperation with us as South East European University for the establishment of modern education through study programmes of this nature" said Rector Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika in his speech.
The Chairman of the Ecolog Advisory Board, Mr. Lazim Destani said that, I am pleased to be here in this academic environment, where today we are signing Memorandum of Understanding between South East European University and Ecolog.
“With this act, we are opening the way to the cooperation between a model university in the region and our international company. This arrangement also helps the education and business sector to move with the dynamics of modern developments. I would like to use this opportunity to thank Rector Zamir Dika and the academic staff of the South East European University”, said Mr. Lazim Destani.
The cooperation between SEEU and Ecolog envisages cooperation in all aspects of the development and provision of the 2nd Cycle degree in Project Management, including, but not limited to, the endowment of a substantial number of merit based scholarships for this program by Ecolog, shared responsibilities in curriculum development and design, and shared knowledge delivery throughout the program by SEEU Professors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with extensive industry experience and academically recognized credentials available to Ecolog through internal knowledge hubs and networks.
The Project Management program is accredited by the Accreditation and Evaluation Board of the Republic of Macedonia and is developed to meet high quality academic and professional standards.
The program will be offered this upcoming academic year (2013/2014) and aims to attract talent from the entire region. Soon, interested candidates will be able to find detailed information about this unprecedented opportunity on SEEU’s webpage.
