QS Rankings Europe 2025: SEEU is the best university in the region among Albanian universities and the second in North Macedonia

This has been confirmed by the Institute “Quacquarelli Symonds”- QS, which today (July 10, 2024) has made public the complete list of the ranking of European universities for 2025, while only four universities from North Macedonia managed to be ranked in this list.

684 universities have been included in this year's Europe rankings and universities from North Macedonia are in the positions from 440-600 at the level of the whole continent of Europe.

In the regional ranking of universities where in the region of the best universities of Southern Europe, SEEU is ranked 126^th, together with the University of Shtip "Goce Dellçev", the University of Bitola is ranked 137^th and the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" is ranked 100^th.

Based on this ranking, the South East European University is ranked first among the universities teaching in the Albanian language in the region, where after SEEU, the University of Tirana is ranked about 20 places below.

During the ranking of the universities, nine criteria were taken as a basis, including: academic reputation, reputation from employers, staff/student ratio, number of scientific publications, number of international staff involved in teaching, number of international students, international research network, web impact and institutional online presence and citations of staff research papers by other researchers around the world.

South East European University has an excellent position in almost all university rankings, like at the continental, regional and country level .
