French Alliance in Tetovo Celebrates its 25th Anniversary at SEEU

The French Alliance (Alliance Française) in Tetovo celebrated the 25th anniversary of its founding and the inauguration of its new premises at the South East European University Campus in Tetovo.

The event was attended by representatives of various institutions, the academic community, and partners of the French Alliance, as well as the Ambassador of France to North Macedonia, H.E. Christophe Le Rigoleur.

Prior to the start of the ceremony, the Rector of SEEU, Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi, along with the Pro-Rector for Planning, Research, and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Veland Ramadani and the Advisor for Community and International Relations, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi, held a meeting with Ambassador Le Rigoleur. During the meeting, they discussed past cooperation and opportunities for its advancement in the fields of education, culture, the French language, mobility, and international cooperation.

In his welcoming remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi praised the contribution of the French Alliance in promoting the French language and culture, as well as in strengthening intercultural dialogue and European ties.

The event was opened by the President of the French Alliance in Tetovo, Dr. Avni Arifi, while Director Mimoza Ceka presented a retrospective of the Alliance's 25-year activity and its role in promoting the French language, culture, and Francophone values.

As part of the jubilee program, a cultural event was also held, while congratulations for this anniversary were shared through video messages from former directors of the French Alliance in Tetovo.

The opening of the new premises at the SEEU Campus marks a new chapter in the cooperation between the two institutions and creates new opportunities for the promotion of the French language, culture, and international collaboration.
