The Rector of South East European University, in his solemn speech, noted that SEEU will continue with commitment the path for quality standards, flexibility towards the market and full respect of its requirements, multicultural values, internationalization and permanent digitization, inter-university cooperation in the country and abroad.
“Increase of the quality of students in addition to the number, from the beginning due to the increasing fund of university scholarships, the fair and efficient allocation of resources, the increase in scientific and applied projects, the stability of financial support from the state budget, the increase in commercial activities even with Technological Park under the auspices of the Business Innovation Centre significantly has influenced the increase of the University's capacity and financial stability” said among others Rector Bexheti in his speech.
“Undoubtedly, the establishment of the South East European University is an important date for higher education in the Albanian language, because with it the political and psychological barrier to those who denied our natural right was broken. Due to the lack of vision and understanding, Albanians had to fight numerous political battles to gain the right to higher education and fortunately, we are here, with the right guaranteed by the Constitution with an unwavering Euro-American orientation”, emphasized in his speech the first Deputy Prime Minister in the Government of RNM, Artan Grubi.
“The number 22 stands for precision and balance. In its full capacity, this number is the builder, which means that it provides the power to achieve almost impossible things. And once again there is this wonderful reference to the SEEU's mission: Bringing knowledge to life. All SEEU employees and students can be proud to work at a university that supports them in many ways to achieve their goals”, said in his speech, President of SEEU Bord, Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann.
As part of the Ceremony, the Rector and the President of the Board symbolically awarded personalized silver medals and recognition to the employees who complete 20 years of work. Acknowledgements were also given to personalities who have contributed to the internationalization and development of the University.
At this anniversary ceremony of the University, the doctoral students of the 2022-2023 generation were promoted, who solemnly accepted their diplomas.
The well-known artists from Tetova, the soprano Besarta Murtezani and the pianist Shkëlzen Baftijari took care of the artistic side of the Ceremony.
