Rector Bexheti participates in the EUA conference on digitalization of education

On the topic Digital Transformation in Higher Education (HE) and especially in the process of inclusion, addressing the challenges faced by HE, Rector Bexheti, in his discussion initiated the need for normative regulation of the field and especially aspects of academic staff training on one side and institutional culture on the other.

"Universities, as conservative institutions, create resistance to rapid change and transformation, often referring to academic freedom, more for ‘coverage’ than for the preservation of values" said Rector Bexheti.

"While Western Europe is debating these issues and concerns in the Western Balkans, they are not even familiar with the trends, alone are trying to find useful solutions for the generations to come" said Rector Bexheti.

The focus of the conference was to find ways to build strategies and create policies that can help shape digitalisation in teaching in higher education within the next decade.
