“Information technology, internet, ultrahigh-tech companies and globalization, especially in the last decade of the new century, have created a completely new type of economy”, said the Rector of the South East European University, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, in the opening ceremony of the conference. He said that recommendations that will come from the conducted research by the scholars of the field will be sent to current policy makers as they are very open and require inputs that will affect the development and improvement of the overall economic situation.
The conference was greeted by the Minister of Economy in the Government of RNM, Kreshnik Bekteshi, who distinguished SEEU as the largest contributor for the assistance that provides in society by organizing such scientific conferences as well as concrete recommendations and cooperation.
“The Government, with the approval of the Program for Economic Development and the Law on Higher Education, has made as requirement the cooperation between the universities and the central Government, this is done in order to reduce the hyper-production of the same profile staff and to stimulate the production of the staff that the market demands”, said Minister Bekteshi.
Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. Hyrije Abazi, thanked all the participants for their commitment and contribution for the organization and enrichment of the Conference.
“The Most-the Bridge which is the location of this campus has strong associations with building the bridge between communities, and thus provides an ideal setting for an event that addresses the major challenge of transition to EU accession”, said the Dean Hyrije Abazi.
About 90 scholars participate in the conference, which is held at the both SEEU campuses in Skopje on 13th June and on 14th June at the Tetovo campus.
