The traditional meeting with first year students was held

On Thursday (27th September), the first year students enrolled in South East European University attended the traditional meeting before the beginning of the new academic year. This session anchored the traditional Student Orientation Week.

In his welcoming address, SEEU Rector Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti advised the newly registered students that, since they have determined their main objective, they should therefore concentrate on giving their best and getting the most out of this institution.

“We will take this journey together for three or more years. We will have common experiences, many ups and downs. Many times you will be happy but sometimes some of you will not be so! Feel free to express the fact-based dissatisfaction, according to you, until there has been a transparent resolution" said Rector Bexheti.

“I congratulate you upon your choice, not because it is in our favour as a university, but because you have chosen the best option for you, within the possibilities and framework of the programme offers. This is not empty rhetoric, but based on facts. Our academic environment, in all aspects, differs from others – starting from class transparency and academic process, through the approach to place ‘the Student in the Centre’, to the student evaluation of both academic and administrative staff; the equipment, library, wireless campus everywhere, academic staff with western practices, peer network from the region, various Western study programmes, and a culture of tolerance make us more and more distinguished in the HE market in Macedonia” noted the Rector Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti.


The President of the Student Parliament and Association, Veton Iljazi and the Student Ombudsperson, Enkelej Ajazi, addressed the students. They assured the new students that this Association will always be alongside the students and that together they will spend a lot of challenging moments, and also they will have a lot of work to do.

The University's professional services informed new students about administrative procedures, such as issuing the student ID, scheduling, network usage, and online learning tools, such as Google-classroom and other applications. Students were also introduced to the main services of the University such as Student Services, the IT Service, the Library, the Career Centre and the respective Faculties where they have chosen to study.
