The Summer School for Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Communication united SEEU and German students

The Summer School for Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Studies, held from 26 August to 2 September 2018 at South East European University, united students of two German universities and SEEU students, by bringing real practice from the business market in Macedonia and Germany.

The students enjoyed both theoretical studies also visits to various companies, where they were able practically to verify their theoretical knowledge.

This Summer School was organized by the SEEU Faculty of Business and Economics, the South Westphalian University of Applied Sciences and the University of Education Weingarten.

Students in this summer school generated, developed and presented business ideas in a multicultural model. "The programme included theoretical and practical aspects in the field of entrepreneurship, optimization strategy, drafting of a project plan and presentation, intercultural studies, etc." said the Summer School Coordinator, Doc. Dr. Fitim Deari.

Within the framework of this project, the Minister for Foreign Direct Investment in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Bardhyl Dauti, delivered a lecture within the programme focusing on facilitation for domestic and foreign investors, country profiles and macroeconomic data, etc.

The lecturers from the German universities were Prof. Dr. Ewald Mittelstädt, Prof. Dr. Claudia Wiepcke and Manfred Mohr.

German students had the opportunity to visit the factory "Veze Sharri", as well as monuments of cultural heritage and some tourist settlements in Tetovo and other cities in Macedonia. This project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
