Pro-Rector for Academic Issues at SEEU, Prof. Dr. Lejla Abazi-Bexheti, emphasized the experience and contribution of SEEU to the development and implementation of the National Qualification Framework (NQF).
"Since the establishment in 2001, we used the 'European Credit Transfer System' (ECTS) in the first cycle studies, and later we applied the 'Bologna Model' (3 + 2), thus becoming one of the universities in region that implemented this model. This provided us with international transparency, validation and mobility opportunities. SEEU throughout this period has played a very active role in establishing the NQF, within the project for designing and implementing this framework. From this year, SEEU offers three and four year university studies, designed according to market requirements, particularly industry. In this way, we continue to contribute to the application of the NQF, which through the learning outcomes aims to match these qualifications with the demands of the labour market," said Pro-Rector Abazi-Bexheti.
During the debate various topics were discussed related to the benefits of the NQF for local development and creation of confidence in the NQF.
Participating in this discussion were experts from the Macedonian Ministry of Education and Science, and experts from Poland and Croatia.
