Business Academy and Industry together in the labour market

The first meeting of the Steering Committee of the Business Academy was held, where a draft timeframe was proposed for the realization of joint projects.

On Monday (4th September 2017) the Steering Committee of the Business Academy held its first meeting, where future activities of the academy were discussed. Information was also presented on the specialized study programmes, which this year are offered by South East European University. In the capacity of a Steering Committee of the Business Academy, numerous business owners from the region were present, as were representatives of the Faculty of Business and Economics of SEEU.

The Rector of SEEU, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, expressed his gratitude for the presence of business owners, emphasizing the concrete cooperation for the realization of specialized programmes, specially designed for the needs of the industry.

The Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. Izet Zeqiri, introduced the Rule on the Work of the Academy and the draft action plan, which sets out some of the main objectives that the Academy aims to achieve.

Some of the goals the Business Academy set itself are: teaching based on research; business management training; research support through IT; fostering co-operation between the FBE and the business community; and the drafting of joint projects.

Academician Abdylmenaf Bexheti stressed the importance of university collaboration with industry in terms of the realization of joint projects. He proposed joining ideas and drafting joint projects, for which funds could be generated from various EU funds.

Business representatives expressed their readiness to join and to collaborate with the University and soon will offer concrete ideas as well.

Information on specialized studies was presented by the German expert Norbert Marx, who highlighted the main aspects of the functioning of these programmes by noting the German experience of this approach
