South East European University
bringing knowledge to life!

SEEU welcomes the 'Snapchat' generation

Rector of South East European University, Prof. Dr, Zamir Dika, welcomed the incoming undergraduate students. He began, "For the majority of you, the word rector is the first new word that you hear at the beginning of your student career. The position of Rector is somewhat similar to that of the director of the high schools you have come from. So this position means responsibility to manage all the promises that we make regarding the studies and the student life in campus, and to assure that we maintain the right quality.”

At this first meeting a special message was conveyed to the new students, who were present in large numbers in the lecture hall. According to Rector Dika, students of South East European University must feel special, because they will study in the most beautiful environment in the region, with study conditions that even many European universities envy, and in an institution committed to multicultural, multilingual, and multiethnic education.

“You as you have come to make today a special day, and you also will feel special during these years of studies, because you will be studying at the university where standards are the most advanced in the region. I can proudly say that are harmonized with the system that derives from Bologna Process – which is synonymous with the deepest reforms of higher education in Europe. You will be taught by professors and academic staff who are all dedicated and trained to provide you with knowledge and competences according to new teaching methodologies, and they are ready to instruct, guide, advise and assist you in acquiring knowledge systematically in your respective fields” the Rector said.

Rector Dika also noted that the sophisticated electronic and administrative services, which employ a high level of interactivity, are all designed to suit the dynamic lifestyle of students.

Students, unlike in their previous educational experience, will have at SEEU the possibility of choosing courses with more individual tasks and exercises, and to cooperate among themselves as students, by using electronic media community. The University provides a high level of technological support and innovation, to make the registration and studying processes interactive and engaging.

It is worth mentioning that during the induction week new students will become acquainted with the University's infrastructure and services, including designing their schedule, the creation of their electronic profile within the electronic apps, etc
