The study visit of Prof. Michel Bourse and Prof. Ozgurol Ozturk together with 10 studentsfrom the Communications Department at University of Galatasaray in Istanbul was organized by the Center for Cultural Interaction and Dialogue (CCID) and Faculty of Languages and Communication (LCC) at SEEU. It was a five day study visit that consisted of activities held in both SEEU campuses, in Tetovo and Skopje.
In Tetovo, the group was officially welcomed by the SEEU Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, LCC Dean, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Keatinge, and CCID Co- Directors Dr. Linda Ziberi and Dr. Agim Poshka. Then the group was welcomed by the Tetovo Mayor, Prof. Dr. Teuta Arifi at the Municipality of Tetovo and afterwards explored some cultural sights of the city joined by SEEU students from the Tetovo campus. Next, the group had a workshop at the NGO, CBC LOJA, in Tetovo joined by other students from France and Germany and after that traveled to Skopje where they were joined by SEEU students from the Skopje campus for a sightseeing tour of the city.
The main event of this visit was the Round Table Discussion and Film Screening titled “Multicultural Landscapes and Challenges in Macedonia” that was held at SEEU Skopje, on Friday, 25 April and included participants from the academic and NGO sector who presented on their projects related to multicultural issues in Macedonia.
