Interuniversity Conference debates for the practical teaching in the universities in Macedonia

“Practical Teaching in Universities in Macedonia ", was the topic of the Interuniversity Conference of the Republic of Macedonia, which was held on Tuesday, October 29, in Skopje.

In this case, it was discussed about the practical teaching in universities implemented not only in the procedural form, but also in qualitative terms, because it is the main link between the theory and practice, i.e. universities and the labour market.

The Rector of South East European University (SEEU), Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, in this conference presented the SEEU experience in the realization of practical teaching.

“The South East European University has started to implement the practical teaching in the initial stage. The SEE University Career Centre has a solid network of communication with the private and public sector, by providing support and counselling for students throughout the practical teaching process. Part of this support are also cooperation agreements that have been signed with recognized private companies and state institutions so that students have easier access to perform compulsory practical teaching”, said the Rector of South East European University, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika.

According to him, in comparison with other universities in the region, SEEU early has identified the needs of the labour market and in this respect has developed integrated programs of study that enable the student to perform 50% of work in the university and 50% in company, where the chances of being employed in the same company, after studies are big.

The common conclusion of this meeting was that in the next meeting should be called representatives of the business community and economic chambers due to their increased interest for admission of students in the practical learning, where the greatest benefit after completion of this process in the end exactly will have the companies.
