SEEU signed co-operation agreement with the Ozyegin Universitesi-Istanbul

Monday (6 April 2009), South East European University -Tetovo and the Özyeğin Üniversitesi-Istanbul, Turkey, signed a co-operation agreement. The agreement was signed by the Rector of SEEU, academician Alajdin Abazi and the Rector of the Özyeğin Üniversitesi, Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut "Özyeğin Üniversitesi-Istanbul is a pro-European and especially pro-American oriented university. A very similar to our university. We have signed agreement for bilateral cooperation in many fields, especially in the field of academic staff and students’ mobility" said Rector of SEEU, academic Alajdin Abazi.

We are willing to welcome English speaking staff from Istanbul because SEEU intends to offer more study programmes only in English, said Rector Abazi

"We are satisfied to visit SEEU, such a great campus and infrastructure," said Rector of the Özyeğin Üniversitesi Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut.

Özyeğin Üniversitesi and SEEU are very similar to each other as in the terms of establishment (operating since 2007) and status-private public not for profit universities, said Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut.

The two universities are pioneer in the development of IT technologies. We intended to be a leader in higher education in the region. With this agreement we expect to have more exchanges of students from SEEU in Istanbul and vice versa. We are also open for development of joint programs and conferment of dual diplomas.
