Our university was represented by the Pro-Rector for Planning, Research and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Veland Ramadani, alongside rectors, academics and experts from the region and across Europe.
The conference was organised by the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, the University of Montenegro and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Discussions focused on three topics:
· the transformation of higher education in the face of demographic change, labour market shifts and artificial intelligence;
· strengthening local innovation ecosystems;
· the role of scientific advice in state modernisation and European integration.
The conference conclusions will feed into the Joint Statement for the Western Balkans Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held in Montenegro on 22 October 2026.
This participation reaffirms SEEU’s commitment to regional and international cooperation in education, science and innovation.
