Public Debate within the British Parliamentary Debate Programme
20 January 2026As part of the successful completion of the British Parliamentary Debate Programme, a public debate will be organized between two competing student teams, who will debate the motion: “This House Would Implement Youth Quotas in Parliament” in accordance with the British Parliamentary Debate format.
This activity is organized within the framework of cooperation between South East European University, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, and the Youth Educational Forum, based on the Trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the institutions.
During the semester, as part of the programme, Prof. Dr. Albana Metaj-Stojanova and Prof. Dr. Fjolla Kaprolli Ismaili delivered a series of ten mentoring lectures, through which students were trained in the British Parliamentary Debate format—recognized as one of the most effective tools for developing critical thinking, public speaking skills, and structured argumentation.
The public debate will take place on 29 January 2026, at 13:00, at the BDC.
The University invites students and all interested parties to attend this academic and educational event.
