International students from Tajikistan and Pakistan celebrate Sultan Nowruz Day

Students from Tajikistan and Pakistan studying at SEEU today (March 21, 2022) organized a cultural event on the occasion of Sultan Nowruz.

In this event, in addition to the SEEU Rector, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, representatives of the Shams Foundation also attended, led by the president of this foundation, Kamruddin Shams.

Rector Bexheti, congratulated all the students for the holiday, instructing them to turn to the services of the University and if necessary to himself for any of their requests regarding studies.

“I know you are very far from your families on this important day for you, but be assured that you have a second family here, and it is the big SEEU family, which will support you on your academic journey", said Rector Bexheti.

Rector Bexheti also thanked the representatives of the Shams Foundation for the cooperation achieved and the opportunity offered to increase the number of international students through this foundation in the future.

President of the Shams Foundation, Kamruddin Shams addressed students and thanked the Rector and SEEU for the wonderful reception of students from Tajikistan and Pakistan.

"I am honored to be with you today, because for me it was a dream come true, which like Martin Luther King, I had and which was realized with the arrival of students at this University", said Mr. Shams.

International students performed some songs and dances, which are a tradition for the holiday of Sultan Nowruz, and for the attendees had prepared traditional dishes.

In addition to the staff, the event was attended by other SEEU students led by the SEEU Student Parliament and Association.
