The Project Management Group Meeting of Partners Universities in SATIS-TEMPUS Project

“Using Local Resources for Micro-Regional Development –Sustainable Agribusiness and Tourism in the Southern Balkans”

At SEEU premises in Tetovo, the PMG meeting took place where the host institution organized this important event. Apart from the Coordinator’s institution, University of Szeged, and SEE University Representatives, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. Nexhbi Veseli, Doc. Dr. Brikend Aziri and the local manager Doc. Dr. Jusuf Zeqiri and other representatives from University Goce Delcev, Stip, UKLO from Bitola, Agricultural University from Tirana, University of Elbasan, ZELS, Albanian Association of Municipalities, and Valmir Panorama attended the meeting. The meeting sessions was scheduled for one day work.

The main purpose of the meeting was to see the progress of the remaining work packages in the project and possible strategies for an effective end of the project.

SEEU's Prorector for Research, Prof. Dr. Blerim Reka, after he greeted and welcomed the guests and participants in this annual PMG meeting, said that:Our university is honored to host this 3rdannual meeting of the SATIS-TEMPUS project. Our university is determined to design courses and curricula and eventually joint-degree programs in Sustainable Agribusiness and Tourism with universities participating in SATIS-TEMPUS project 'Using Local Resources for Microregional Development–Sustainable Agribusiness and Tourism in the Southern Balkans.' There is a need for regional cooperation for developing programs and strategies for micro-regional developments. This project will help all partners share their experiences and practices in order to educate students who will disseminate their knowledge within their regions for using local resources for developing agribusiness and tourism.”

All representatives from partner universities presented their progress in achieving the goals and objectives of the SATIS-TEMPUS project. As a local manager of SEE University, Dr. Jusuf Zeqiri presented the so far achievements of SEEU obligations and its readiness to start enrolling students in its 4 accredited programs in Sustainable Agribusiness and Sustainable Tourism both in the first cycle of studies and in the second cycle of studies.
