The Rector’s Advisor for PR and Communication Demush Bajrami, MA said that this is an important date for the whole Albanian education because it marks the efforts of Albanian scholars to develop and promote a genuine Albanian school.
“This day coincides with the vision of Albanian scholars and renaissance, which together with other progressive peoples of the Balkans, saw education as a race in which, the rude person no longer wins, but the most educated one, the uncivilized no longer wins, but the most cultured one. The mission of March 7 remains current even today”, said Demush Bajrami. The main lecture at this manifestation was delivered by the Pro-dean of the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication, Prof. Dr. Hamit Xhaferi, who made a retrospective of the development of the Albanian school, since 7 March 1887 until today. “During this time, although faced with many difficulties, it has managed to achieve its mission of education and patriotism. The Albanian Contemporary School is a continuation of the first Albanian school regarding this mission. SEE University has a similar mission, with a European and American orientation", said among other things in his lecture, Pro-dean Hamit Xhaferi.
