Explore Campus 360°The onset of activities of this event was opened by the promotion of two recently published books about the language, literature and culture of the Arbresh, where, the reviewer of the both books academician Ali Aliu delivered a speech.
The first book is titled “Studime gjuhësore, folklorike, etnografike dhe kulturore për Arbëreshët e Italisë” with authors Prof.Dr. Vebi Bexheti, Prof.Dr. Mustafa Ibrahimi, Prof.Dr. Hamit Xhaferi and Prof.Dr. Zeqir Kadriu.
The second book that was promoted includes acts and works that were promoted at the Third International Scientific Symposium, titled Language and Literature of Arbëresh held at SEEU –Tetovo, from 28-29 April 2008, the books is titled “Gjuha, kultura dhe letërsia arbëreshe”
At the end of the promotion the documentary film “Meetings with Arbëresh of Calabria” was presented by the author Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahimi in cooperation with the SEEU Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies. The documentary is based on the three continues visits of the SEEU Albanian Language and Literature Department in the Arbëresh villages in Italy.
On May 27th, the Fourth International Scientific Conference continued the activities on the topic “Elena Gjika dhe Kultura Popullore”, where specialists from all Albanian territories were participating. This Conference was attended by 30 scholars from the country, Albania, Kosovo, Italy, France and Bulgaria.
SEEU’s Rector Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, followed by the Dean of LCC – Andrew Gospeed and the Head Albanian Language and Literature Department – Hamit Xhaferi delivered greeting speeches at the beginning of the Conference. The main paper work was presented by Prof. Emin Kabashi form the Institute of Albanology - Prishtina, on the topic Elena Gjika and the European dimensions of Albanian culture.
In the first session 15 paper works were presented by: Jorgo Bulo, Antonio D'Alessandri, Shaban Sinani, Klara Kodra, Hamit Xhaferi, Ali Jashari – Aleksandra Piluri, Merita Sauku-Bruci, Bardhosh Gaçe, Roland Zisi, Agron Xhegolli, Zeqir Kadriu, Ilia Karanxha, Bahtije Gërbeshi, Samira Idrizi.
In the second session 15 papers were presented as well by: Ali Aliu, Muharrem Jakupi, Vebi Bexheti, Bukuroshe Isufaj, Zeqirja Neziri, Gëzim Rredhi, Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ermir Xhindi, Nehat Krasniqi, Shyqri Galica, Artur Lamaj, Fotaq Andrea, Joana Kalinku-Peeva, Rusana Bejleri , Jehona Rushidi-Rexhepi - Meral Shehabi - Luljeta Adili-Çeliku and Jusra Abdurahimi.
The conference was held in the spirit of a constructive and collaborative debate, characterized by scientific professionalism.
