Pro-Rector for Finance and Physical Development at SEEU, Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, said that the University, students, and staff are pleased to have such a guest as Ambassador Fouere to share experiences, impressions and messages for combating poverty, because Macedonia’s main problem is the high level of unemployment and poverty. Pro-Rector Bexheti mentioned the case of Ireland, which is considered a successful example of economic development mainly due to the attraction of foreign investments.
Ambassador Erwan Fouere, said the purpose of this visit is to debate with students about poverty and creating new jobs. This lecture is a good opportunity to meet students and exchange opinions on how European community can help Macedonia in this regard.
“We are honored that the University gladly accepted to be the host of this debate which is part of the European Week activities and is important for us to treat issues from all European States in order to reduce unemployment and social exclusion as a phenomenon that exists in our societies. We are in intensive discussions with government, economic union leaders, and the business community, because only through partnerships can success be guaranteed, in terms of unemployment and social exclusion,” said Ambassador Fouere, among others.
