The representatives of the American university consisted of Dr. Kim Winter, Dean of the College of Education and Allied Professions; Dr. A.J. Grube, Dean of the College of Business; Dr. Dan Grube, Professor of Education and Advisor on Internationalization; as well as Prof. Wesley Milner, PhD, Director of Global Engagement and Professor of International Studies.
During the bilateral meeting, opportunities for institutional cooperation were extensively discussed in the areas of student and academic staff mobility, the development of joint research projects, the creation of joint study programs, and the strengthening of the internationalization process in higher education. The WCU delegation expressed a specific interest in concrete cooperation in the fields of education, business, social sciences, and law, as well as in various initiatives that support innovation and the development of scientific research.
As part of this visit, the delegation became closely acquainted with the SEEU campus premises and its modern academic infrastructure. Furthermore, the guests paid a special visit to the "Max van der Stoel" Institute, where they were presented with the research activities and successful projects that this institute conducts in the fields of human rights, democratic governance, and public policy.
The Visit of the Western Carolina University (USA) Delegation to SEEU
1 July 2026Today, a delegation from Western Carolina University (WCU), United States of America, paid an official visit to the South East European University (SEEU), as part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation and expand academic partnerships. The high-level delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Veland Ramadani, Pro-Rector for Research, Planning, and Entrepreneurship, accompanied by the deans of faculties and directors of institutes at SEEU.
