Ambassador Kawahara was received by the Rector of SEEU, Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibrahimi, accompanied by the Advisor for Community and International Relations, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi. During the meeting, Rector Ibrahimi informed the ambassador about the University’s main achievements, development challenges, and strategic plans for the future. Both parties expressed their willingness to develop new academic relations between SEEU and Japanese universities, opening important perspectives for student exchanges and joint research projects.
Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi thanked the ambassador for the visit and emphasized that SEEU remains an institution that builds strong ties with diplomatic missions, enabling students to understand global developments directly from those who shape them.
As part of the visit, Ambassador Kawahara delivered a lecture to SEEU students on “Japan’s Foreign Policy”, where she presented Japan’s strategic priorities, its global role, and the principles guiding Japanese diplomacy in an increasingly complex world. The students showed great interest, asking questions and contributing to a lively academic debate.
