In the morning, the scientific forum titled “Uniting through Letters – One Nation, One Language, One Primer”, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Skopje, took place. The event, held at the Officers’ House in Bitola, gathered researchers, academics, and institutional representatives, bringing Bitola back into the spotlight of scholarly discussion on the Albanian language and its historical journey.
In the afternoon, upon the invitation of the Government of North Macedonia, the SEEU delegation attended the Central Celebration, which was also attended by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, the Mayor of the Municipality of Piana degli Albanesi, Rosario Petta, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and prominent figures from culture, education, and civil society.
During their stay in Bitola, the SEEU delegation also visited the Museum of the Albanian Alphabet and the “Linkest” Library.
The participation of Rector Ibraimi and Prof. Arifi in both events highlighted South East European University’s commitment to the preservation, promotion, and development of the Albanian language, as well as its active role in strengthening inter-institutional and diplomatic cooperation within the country and across the region.
SEEU continues to be an important academic and cultural institution contributing to the affirmation of Albanian national and educational values.
