Faculty of Law Holds Sixth International Scientific Conference on Legal Sciences

The Faculty of Law of South East European University today organized the Sixth International Scientific Conference on Legal Sciences (ISCLS ’25) on the topic: “Challenges of the Rule of Law in the Western Balkans – Situation and Perspectives.”

The event was held in partnership with the Faculty of Law of SEEU, “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlora, and AAB College, Kosovo, creating a joint platform for scholars and legal professionals in the region.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Adnan Jashari, Dean of the Faculty of Law, thanked all participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening academic cooperation beyond regional borders.

Keynote speakers included Judge Afrim Fidani, President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Prof. Dr. Rodna Zivkovska from the Faculty of Law “Justinian I”, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje.

The conference addressed the challenges and perspectives of the rule of law in the Western Balkans, offering ideas and recommendations for strengthening legal reforms and accelerating the European integration process.

The event was moderated and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Albana Metaj-Stojanova and Prof. Dr. Jeton Shasivari, professors at the Faculty of Law.

This inter-university cooperation represents an important step toward building a sustainable academic tradition in the field of legal sciences in the region.
