Explore Campus 360°At the premises of the University Marin Barleti-Tirana, Albania “the Book Salon” was opened, where all authors, publishers and friends of books were invited to bring and promote their books or the books that they consider important. Conversations with students and other interested parties, exchange of books and debates about the importance of books are just some the topics of the panels which were organized in this event.
The Book Week was closed on Saturday (24 April 2010) when a series of books of Prof. Servet Pëllumbi-Academic Director of the Institute of Sociology were presented (10 books from the period 2000-2010). During this activity a debate on philosophical and sociologic opinions for the last two publication of Prof. Servet Pëllumbi ‘Globalistika – refleksione filozofike për një epokë’(Globalization-Philosophical Reflection on the Era) and ‘Filozofia e aktualitetit’ (Philosophy of Actuality) was organized. Another important event that took part on Saturday was the presentation of Dr. Ali Pajaziti’s (lecturer at South East European University) Dictionary of Sociology (Fjalori i Sociologjisë), this dictionary is the first of this kind in the Albanian language. A cooperation agreement between the University Marin Barleti and the Institute of Sociology was signed during this activity.
