The event opened with a welcoming speech by the Pro-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi, followed by a welcoming speech by Asst. Prof. Dr. Albana Metaj-Stojanova, coordinator of the Faculty of Law and organizer of this event. She emphasized the importance of legal education from an early age for building a fair and responsible society.
Lectures were given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arta Mero, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Albana Metaj, as well as excellent students of the Faculty of Law, Era Sadiku and Elisa Murseli, who shared experiences, knowledge and inspired young people with their interactive presentations.
Students actively engaged in discussions on issues from family, criminal and civil law, and at the end of the activity were provided with certificates of participation.
This activity was carried out in cooperation with high schools in the cities of Tetovo and Gostivar, such as: Gymnasium “Kiril Pejçinović”, Economic School “8 Shtatori”, Medical School “Nikoll Shtejn”, Vocational School “Gjoce Stojçeski”, Vocational Agricultural School “Mosha Pijade”, Gymnasium “7 Marsi”, “Maarif” International School, as well as the Gostivar Gymnasium and the Gostivar Economic School.
The Summer Law School is proof of the SEEU Faculty of Law commitment to empowering young people with basic legal knowledge and to embed in them the values of justice, equality and human rights.
