Special Event at SEEU for March 7th – Teacher's Day and First Albanian School Day

On the occasion of March 7, Teacher's Day and the First Albanian School, a solemn event was held today at the South East European University (SEEU), attended by students, professors, teachers and other guests.

The Rector of SEEU, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of education and the role of teachers in shaping society. He emphasized that for an educational institution like SEEU, this day has an even more special meaning, as it marks the beginning of raising national awareness through education. "These are the best moments to reflect that in today's conditions of freedom, almost ideal for this mission we are carrying out, we are not sufficiently aware of these values, that someone has 'sacrificed him/herself' to preserve and cultivate them," emphasized Rector Bexheti.

A historical overview of this day and the contribution of education to national development was presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication, Prof. Dr. Demush Bajrami. “This is not only a day to honor the legacy of those who laid the foundations of our education system, but also a moment to reflect on how far we still have to go” said among others Dean Bajrami.

The artistic part of the event was prepared by maestro Jeton Pustina, with the interpretation of soloists Lyra Stafaj and Sevdije Rushiti. The event was also enriched with the traditional dance "Malësorja", by choreographer Elez Mema, presented by the group of dancers of SHKA "Xheladin Zeqiri".

The event was moderated by student Hava Nasufi and was characterized by a festive and inspiring atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting educational and cultural values.
