Innovative Center for Applied Research and Education will be opened at SEEU

Rector of the South East European University, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti accompanied by the Secretary- General, Dr. Xhevair Memedi, today (03.02.2022), held a working meeting with the Director of the Bureau for Regional Development (BRD), Mr. Ramiz Rexhepi and the Director of the Center for Development of the Polog Planning Region (CDPPR), Mr. Fatmir Saiti.

The topic of the workshop was the beginning of the implementation of the project Power Partnership for Polog-PP4P, where partners in the implementation of the project are SEEU and CDPPR, while BRD will finance and monitor the implementation of the same. For the project in question it was applied last summer and was approved at the end of last year by BRD . The budget for the project is 10 million denars and the same must be fully implemented throughout this calendar year.

The project envisages the utilization of premises and the establishment of a joint institute at SEEU, which will serve as a Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer in the Polog Region – iCARE (Innovative Center for Applied Research and Education), among public sector partners, academia, business community and civil society.
