The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mila Carovska, accompanied by the Deputy Minister Arafat Shabani, in the presence of SEEU and UT students and the Rector of the South East European University, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, promoted today (August 19th) the new program of the Ministry for the subsidized student meal.

The meeting with students, respecting the prevention measures approved by the health authorities, took place in an open environment.

"I want to underline the components that today, here at SEEU, for the first time, it’s promoted the program for subsidized student meal, which is dedicated to all citizens of the RNM, and which is oriented towards the individual, students, regardless of the institution where they study. So, promotion of the concept a society for all, where the individual is the center of attention and gives equal opportunities to all", stated in his speech, Rector Bexheti.

The Rector invited students to apply in order to get this right to this subsidized student meal.

Rector Bexheti also expressed the opinion of the academic community, that the teaching process should take place with physical presence, because based on the preliminary data, if online studies continue further, then the validity of the diploma will be questioned.

"We, at SEEU are determined and prepared to continue lectures with a physical presence. Currently about 70% of staff are vaccinated with two doses and about 20% with one dose. Also with the help of the Student Parliament and Association, according to the data of its President Agron Demiri, about 500 students have been vaccinated so far."

We, as a Ministry, with your recommendations, have managed to double the number of scholarships, adding also the scholarships for Master’s and PhD degree.
