SEEU Student Parliament and Association marked March 7th - the Albanian Teachers’ Day

On Thursday (7 March), the SEEU Student Parliament and Association observed March 7th the Day of the Albanian School and Teachers’ Day. SEEU Rector, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, after congratulating all staff members and students for this very significant celebration, evoked a part of the story of this celebration, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the development of education in Albanian language.

“There is nothing more blessed than the teacher's work. There is no major contribution in society than the teacher gives” noted Rector Bexheti. He said new generations should return the dignity and status of the teacher into deserved place in our society.

“If we do not do this, it will be very difficult to increase the quality of education and most importantly to stop massive brain drain, which already has become a daunting phenomenon in the country and wider region” said among other things the Rector of SEEU, Abdylmenaf Bexheti.

President of the SEEU Student Parliament and Association, Arjon Fejzullahu, thanked SEEU staff, by stressing that for this holiday most meritorious are academic staff, i.e., our teachers, who have shown the right path to student for their educational and professional development.

“We, as a generation, have a moral obligation to move forward this historic process” said Arjon Fejzullahu.

For the artistic part of the ceremony Rita Beaidini and Genta Mustafa were engaged who recited poetry by renowned Albanian poets.
