SEEU introduced new software and the model for replacing the old heating system with a new more ecologically and economically efficient system

The Business and Innovation Centre of South East European University introduced their software solution and business model aimed at replacing old heating systems with new, more ecologically and economically efficient systems.

This software was presented on Wednesday (23rd January 2019) in an event organized at the SEEU Technology Park in Tetovo. Here the results of selected projects were presented within the framework of a public call for project financing, which aims to reduce air pollution, entitled ‘O2 Challenge’.

Representatives of the Technological Park within this project have created an Online Web Calculator, which will make comparisons regarding the level of pollution depending on the heating system used by the families. In the second phase of the project, a new business model will be created that will provide financial relief to households that will decide to purchase ecological heating systems.

Also attending this event were Mr. Jovan Despotovski - Director of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development; the Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Mr. Jani Makraduli; and the Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo, Ms. Teuta Arifi.

Within this activity, Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Jani Makraduli, met with the Rector of SEEU, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, where he spoke about the cooperation so far and the concretization of joint projects in terms of contributing to the reduction of air pollution. Rector Bexheti talked about the importance and the concrete actions that SEEU has realized for environmental protection, becoming the first campus in the region with zero emission of carbon dioxide.
