Special Public Prosecutor of Macedonia, Katica Janeva, delivered a lecture

The Special Public Prosecutor of Macedonia, Katica Janeva, delivered a lecture on the topic "The role of the Special Public Prosecution in the development of the rule of law in the Republic of Macedonia" on Wednesday (December 19, 2018) at South East European University in Skopje.

Before the lecture, Special Prosecutor Janeva had a meeting with the SEEU Rector, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti and Pro-Rector for International Cooperation and Research, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi. At this meeting, the three discussed the cooperation that the University currently has with the Special Prosecutor's Office, as well as the possibilities for further strengthening this cooperation, and for involving more students in their internship in this institution.

During the lecture, the prosecutor discussed the things that she is currently doing in the institution that she leads, the obstacles and challenges they face, and the decisions that are made to enable the rule of law.

The lecture had an interactive character, and many students asked questions about the topic, particularly about the political relevance and the impact of the Law on Amnesty on the work of the Special Prosecutor's Office.
