SEEU has devoted a particular effort towards internationalization by cooperating with universities in the EU and the US. In this context, this university has set in its development strategy the need to create joint study programmes, the creation of networks that would enable the mobility of teaching staff and students, and the exchange of experiences with European universities. This has been achieved at SEEU thanks to lectures in European languages.
Federica Torta, who is a student of the Faculty of Law--University of Bologna in Italy, has chosen South East European University in Tetovo to continue her studies within this programme. She says that at SEEU she has enjoyed a very good experience and she has learned both theory and practice. She appreciates particularly the study programmes in foreign languages, especially those in English, as well as the international professors, which offer a rare education opportunity in the region.
“It was a good experience because I could learn not only in theory, but also in practice. At South East European University you can learn something more than in other universities, "she said.
In addition to Fedrika many other students have pursued studies at SEEU. Lea Frisho and Agata de la Rusie, from France, and Elena Ruzic and Zvonimir Jardas, from Croatia, attended the summer semester of the academic year 2015/16 at the Faculty of Public Administration and Political Sciences, while Swedish student Viktoria Knutson attended the summer semester of the academic year 2015/16, as well as the winter semester of the academic year 2016/17 at the Faculty of Business and Economics.
Within the Erasmus+ programme, thus far dozens of students from countries like Italy, France, Sweden, Spain and Croatia have chosen South East European University to attend for a semester, because they say they this university is close to model European universities and that SEEU offers all the conditions required under the Erasmus+.
