According to Pro-Rector for Entrepreneurship and Planning, Prof. Dr. Miroljub Shukarov, there should be close cooperation between the academic sector and the business sector, in order for both parties to contribute to personal development and to the development of the society where they operate.
“Although the business community from the Polog region has a need for staff from the fields of metallurgical, chemical and other technological activities that are not in the structure of our university, we may satisfy their needs with quality staff from economy, business, computer science, and our other related efforts” Shukarov noted.
The Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics, Academician Izet Zeqiri, said that “Business Academy is aiming towards closer cooperation of the University with the business community”
The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Macedonia, Nebi Hoxha, emphasized that the business community needs qualified and professional staff who possess the knowledge to get involved in daily activities.
According to Academician Abdylmenaf Bexheti, the higher education system should change.
“Selection should be made when new students are enrolled in higher education institutions, as the current 96% indicator of high school students enrolling in a higher education institution does not respond to the needs”, said Bexheti.
It is intended that, through the Business Academy, businessmen will be more actively involved in implementing 10% of practical teaching.
