On Saturday (9th April) at the traditional day-long Open Day celebration, a high number of interested high school students and their family members from Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, the Preshevo Valley and other places participated.
“Today we welcome to the South East European University Campus high school students who are now on the eve of completion of their secondary education. They come from Kosovo, the Preshevo Valley, from all over Macedonia and from Albania, and are all interested in acquiring the status of a student at SEEU. During Open Day students are informed about the University status, and about the rights and obligations that they will have as students. Above all, they learn about the study offer of SEEU. This year SEEU in its premises, with the help of its academic staff--local and international professors--has space to operate like European and US models, for around 1300 students”, said Dr. Demush Bajrami, the Rector’s Advisor.
This year at South East European University, 10 percent more students will be admitted compared to the number of students admitted last year, in the following five faculties: Law; Business and Economics; Public Administration and Political Sciences; Contemporary Sciences and Technologies; and Languages, Cultures and Communications.
As part of this day-long celebration there were also held numerous other activities, such as a Language Fair organized by the SEEU Language Centre, Student Parliament activities, and a rich cultural and entertainment programme. There was also an anagram challenge in which 10 cell phones were given to the winning high school students.
