”Determining the Real Potential for the Implementation of Measures to Improve Air Quality in the Municipalities of Kicevo and Kavadarci” and “Implementation Methodology and Operational Activities during the Realization of the Initiative for Declaring Sharr Mountain a National Park” are the titles of these two projects. South East European University, through the Institute of Environment and Health, will provide expertise and the realization of the projects, while the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning will provide their funding.
“The University is actively involved in contributing to improve the quality of the environment and solving the problem of air pollution, particularly by providing scientific expertise and long-term solutions to these problems, which we face every day" said Rector Dika.
Minister Izairi emphasized the importance of cooperation between the University and his Ministry for solving concrete problems in the field of ecology. “I want to thank SEEU for its readiness and the unreserved involvement of its staff and scientific institutes in the implementation of these projects," he said.
A round table was held on the topic "Measuring Air Quality" and of the project-values about declaring Sharr Mountain National Park. In this event were present representatives of the Municipality of Tetovo and the Mayor of the Municipality of Kavadarci, Mr. Aleksandar Panov.
